Fostex T50rp - Version 2.0
After the success of the first version of the Fostex T50rp headphone, I decided to get creative and improve on it. My goal was to create a reasonably inexpensive headphone (under $250) that will be able to fit everyone's needs. I don't like how some headphones are only good at reproducing opera or rock ect, ect. The objective was to make a "one size fits all" kind of headphone. We have finally cracked this operation after 2 weeks of trial and error. We can say with confidence that this IS the best all around headphone under $250. We challenge anyone that can compare any other headphones side by side to these and that these will not meet or exceeded within the price range.
My personal review of these headphones are amazing. I set the frequency response to flat, and with no tweaking what so-ever, they are the best headphones I've ever placed on my head. Simply the best response in all the frequency's. A tad bright, and very neutral. They are very forgiving on low-quality music as even listening to a few songs on YouTube were pleasing. When listening to some bass heavy music, a slight increase in the lower frequency's does very well for these headphones, as it brings out some very tight bass, and does not overwhelm any other frequency.
I used my personal objective2 amp w/ ODAC for testing. It is a perfect pairing together as both amp and DAC are completely neutral, leaving the rest up to the headphone. I am very confident with these headphones!
